Rest is a very saturated topic. We hear about it all of the time. So often, what we hear is the request to rest however, we haven’t really taken the time to look underneath the hood as it relates to the idea of rest; from our world, from our lens, from deep within.
What I have found is that asking the right questions as it relates to rest, can really help us to uncover the obstacles that get in the way of resting along with so much more. As with anything that we start out as novices, we must first ask ourselves the questions of: What does rest mean to me? Do I know how to rest? What feeling do I feel that becomes feedback information to me that informs me that this is a form of rest that feels right to and for me? How does the word rest land with me meaning, does perhaps using a different word other than rest align more with me than the word rest?
These are some of the questions. This is the journey. Starting at the beginning with asking the right questions and being willing to try on different forms of rest until you find what works well for you.
Enjoy!
